返事遅くなりました。zakiさん取り込みありがとうございました。
一応2日ほど前にUSB Mass Storageの本家のMatthew Dharmにもメールを
出しておきました。まだ返事こないんですが。

で、今一つ問題となっている点がありまして、他に使っている人が
いたらと思い、ここにも書いておきます。その問題とは、
U10 を抜き出して、メモリースティックを違う容量のものに
変えると、認識はするのですが、マウントできなくなります。

これは、本家の http://www2.one-eyed-alien.net/~mdharm/linux-usb/
の Design Theory の2nd paragraph に、

と書いてあるので、当然といえば当然？なのかもしれません。
同じ node なのに partition table が変わるわけで。
(異なるメモリスティックで容量が同じ場合は問題はおきません)

これは U10 に限らず、記憶媒体の変えれるUSB Cameraなら同じ
なんでしょうかね？
